The power of Intokozo FM is amazing and in particular because we are the only radio station in UMlazi (the second biggest township in South Africa) that caters for both English and IsiZulu speaking people.We speak direct to the local community.
The community radio station was founded by the youth on the 10th July 2013. The NPO came as a result of the youth who had the same vision of voicing out their issues that the youth of South Africa faces on daily basis, thus include :

Jozi FM is a local radio that serves the Soweto Community. It started broadcasting in 1995 in several languages such as English, Sesotho, Sepedi, Setswana and Xitsonga. Its programming includes entertainment, information and education.‎
Bush Radio is Africa’s oldest community radio station project based in Cape Town, South Africa.
The idea of Bush Radio started in the 1980’s when community activists and alternative media producers came together to explore ways in which grassroots media could be used for social upliftment and as an alternative voice to the media available under apartheid.
Bush Radio was officially formed in 1992, after two years of community consultations of all aspects of the radio station. After repeatedly applying for a broadcast license to the apartheid government in 1992, Bush Radio then decided to broadcast illegally.
