One of the suspects in the murder of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane complained of not being treated well in custody as the murder case was adjourned to March.
Five of the seven suspects arrested for murder appeared at the Durban Magistrate’s Court for the first time on Thursday.
The suspects are facing 10 charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of murder, attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
Police Minister Bheki Cele and KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi and Forbes’ father, Tony, were present in court.
Forbes and Motsoane were shot outside the defunct Wish on Florida restaurant in Durban, on February 10 last year.
